No. It's absolutely free. We provide program materials & shipping at no cost. |

What types of items does CFK pay for? |
| |
We pay for cell phones, inkjet & laser cartridges, laptops, iPods, PDAs, video games & consoles, digital cameras, DVDs, GPS devices and calculators. |

How much can be earned each year? |
| |

When can I expect to receive payment? |
| |
Once a shipment has been processed, you can expect to receive a check the following month. |

Why am I not receiving labels with my checks anymore? |
| |
CFK checks are issued by a separate division of Waste Management called Recycle America. You will see “Recycle America” on all checks from now on and labels will be sent separately from CFK. |

Is this program year-round? |
| |
Yes. We encourage participants and business supporters to send items during holidays and summer months. |

Do I need to re-enroll each year? |
| |
No. Please contact us to order more fliers, a poster, etc. at the beginning of each year. Also, notify us of any changes to your account or click below to change it online. |

What does CFK do with the items collected? |
| |
|
All of the items on our price lists are recyclable. |
| |
|
CFK believes that re-use is the best form of recycling. The items collected are remanufactured
or refurbished for resale. Re-use prevents the pollution that results from the manufacture of new items and the decommission of used items. Re-use requires less consumption of natural resources. |

If items are too damaged for re-use, they are broken down and the raw materials are recycled. All end-of-life recycling takes place in the United States. |

Does CFK follow federal regulations? |
| |
As an environmental steward, Cartridges for Kids® is committed to recycling in strict compliance with all federal, state, county, and local regulations. We are registered with the EPA. (EPA #COR00021898) We encourage all recycling and know that if you choose CFK, it will be done correctly. |
